“I’m happy to make everyone smile”: Amazon delivery driver spreads cheer by putting on a show

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE): An Amazon delivery driver is spreading the holiday joy with his unique delivery style.

A couple from Providence ordered gifts on Amazon for their children this Christmas.

Pastor Claudius Cooper and Salome Cooper live on Stanwood Street where they captured the Amazon driver on their security camera putting on quite the dance while delivering their package on Wednesday.

After the community’s response, ABC6 News tracked down the driver. Ibrahim, who doesn’t want to use his last name, says he has worked for Amazon for a couple of months. He said he had no idea he was being recorded but is happy with the response he’s getting.

“I am happy I did that and put a smile on their faces,” Ibrahim said. ” All I want to say is no matter what you are going through, always keep a smile on your face.”

Ibrahim said he used to dance professionally and now just does it for fun. Busting out moves isn’t something he does every delivery but he says he was just feeling it at the moment.

The Coopers say his dance moves made their day and they want to spread the joy to others and thank him.

Their son is a musician and added his music to the background for the perfect touch!

“We just wanted to let him know we appreciate it and it uplifts everyone’s spirits knowing a young man is happy doing his job,” Cooper said. “Just to let him know we appreciate it.”

Claudios Cooper said the driver tried the front door and when they didn’t respond he went to the back entrance where he broke out in his dance moves.

“It’s good to lift everyone’s spirits especially this season and the crises we are going through,” Salome Cooper said.
