WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Community College of Rhode Island announced Thursday that they have been selected as an education partner for Amazon’s Career Choice program.

The program will allow Amazon’s hourly workers to access CCRI’s programs to work towards over 90 different degrees.

CCRI becomes the first college or university in the Ocean State to become a partner of the program.

“We are deeply grateful to Amazon for supporting their employees’ academic and career goals, and we are ready to welcome Amazon associates to our college,” said CCRI President Meghan Hughes.

Amazon will invest $1.2 billion into the program nationwide by 2025 to help over 300,000 employees move onto higher paying careers.
