PROVIDENCE (WLNE)- Massachusetts State Police have announced Charlotte Moccia has been found alive.
The police announced via Twitter that the missing 11-year-old was found “safe and sound”.
The Amber Alert sent out following her disappearance has been cancelled.
A suspect has been taken into custody after a car matching the description from the alert was spotted on the Massachusetts Turnpike.
Miguel Rodriguez, 24, of Springfield, was taken to a nearby state police facility for booking.
Acting on a tip from a motorist, police pulled over the car in a work zone near Sturbridge.
A preliminary check by emergency medical services determined that there was no apparent injury to Moccia.
