American Flag crosswalks in East Providence vandalized

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Mayor Bob DaSilva said that two patriotic crosswalks in the city were vandalized shortly after they were painted by the Department of Public Works for the city’s Memorial Day Parade.

The crosswalks on Turner Avenue depicted the American Flag and appeared to have tire marks on them.

DaSilva is asking anyone with information on the vandalism to contact East Providence police at (401) 453-7600.
