Amo, Magaziner call on Johnson, Republicans to reopen government

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — On Wednesday, we spoke with Congressman Amo who says it’s up to Republicans to get the government up and running.

Congressman Amo said Democrats are committed to preventing any cuts to healthcare in a new budget, which he says would impact all Americans, not just those receiving government assistance.

We also heard from Congressman Seth Magaziner Wednesday.

He’s criticizing Speaker Mike Johnson’s decision to put the House in recess through the week.
