Anchor Medical Associates marks final day of business

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — Monday marks the final day in business for Anchor Medical Associates after 25 years in business and serving tens of thousands of Rhode Islanders.

Their final two locations- a pediatric and adult medicine location in Lincoln and an adult medicine office in Providence- will close two months to the day after their Warwick office closed.

Anchor announced that they would be closing on April 8, in a move that left around 25,000 Rhode Islanders searching for a new primary care provider.

Anchor patients are asked to download or pick up their medical records before 3 p.m. on Monday, when Anchor’s patient portal closes; on Tuesday, the records will be taken over by Arches Medical.
