Animal Rescue League of Boston rescues 3 kittens in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) is currently caring for three neonatal kittens and their mother after being found wounded and malnourished in Fall River.
According to the ARL, they were working in the Fall River area when a concerned citizen called in reporting the four cats in need of care.
Officials said that due to her wounds, the mother cat was unable to care for her kittens, which drastically increased the urgency of the ARL’s response.
The kittens were found to be just four-weeks old and were taken to the ARL’s Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center where they received immediate medical care. The mother cat, now named Kiki, was suffering from multiple puncture wounds and was also underweight.
The kittens were all suffering from upper respiratory infections and given medications to help control them.
Due to their age, officials said the kittens had to be placed in foster care so they could be constantly monitored and despite the ordeal they’ve experienced, the kittens are all doing well.
The ARL said all the kittens are expected to be made available for adoption sometime in November.
