Another day of mixed hazy skies
PROVIDENCE, R.I.(WLNE) —
Today will be another cooler along the coast and warm inland kind of day. Winds today are SW, so that should clear our some of the smoke along our surface and keep the coastal areas slightly cooler.
The wildfire smoke from Nova Scotia today will continue to pull in. Expect hazy skies later on in the day (3-10pm) especially since the fires are fairly close to us. Today won’t be as bad as yesterday, but there will be times of blue skies followed by light/hazy, smoky skies. The SW wind keeps most of it away at the surface.
We have an area of ridging area of high pressure to the west and we will see our temps climb to the mid and upper 80’s towards the end of the week before a cold front arrives overnight Friday night into Saturday morning bring some spotty showers. Temps will be cooler this weekend.
Next rainmaker doesn’t arrive until mid-week of next week.
