Another frost advisory for Tuesday morning

Mild days and chilly nights will be a common theme this week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — After a chilly morning, Monday quickly turned into a beautiful day with full sun and highs near 60°. We can expect a repeat performance on Tuesday.

Wake-up temperatures will range from the low to mid-30s on Tuesday, and frost is likely for much of our area. Expect more clear skies and seasonable afternoon temperatures.

A weak cold front will bring some showers on Wednesday, but it is a minor rain event. Behind the front, another cool Canadian airmass will build in.

Thursday morning temperatures may be the coldest yet, even getting below freezing for much of the area.

It is very important to take the opportunity to protect any sensitive vegetation around your garden this week, as delicate plants could become damaged.

Thursday and Friday will both see more sunshine and seasonably cool temperatures. There does look to be a warming trend into the weekend and beyond – the 70s seem likely next week!
