Gloomy skies continue Friday before improving over the weekend

After picking up over an inch of rain on Thursday, Providence-T.F. Green is now on the precipice of one of the top 5 wettest years on record.

The dreary weather continues on Friday, as yet another cloudy day is expected. Areas of fog and drizzle are also expected, with a scattered steadier shower.

Things will finally begin to improve on Saturday, but a few rain showers are still possible – even a snow shower in the highest elevations.

FINALLY the sun is back for New Year’s Eve, with seasonably chilly temperatures, and that will be the weather pattern for the first few days of the new year.

The next precip. chance will be next Thursday, and as of now it looks like just rain.
