Another Soupy Day in Southern New England

After starting off with showers and overnight lows in the upper-70s, you bet we’re in for a hot and humid day. Our morning clouds and showers with gradually clear and high temperatures will top out in the upper-80s. It will also be breezy and humid. If you’re seeking relief from the heat and humidity at the beach, know we have a HIGH SURF ADVISORY in effect through this evening. Breaking waves of 5-7 feet are expected leading to a high risk of rip currents at all Southern New England beaches. Expect the dangerous surf and swim conditions along with beach erosion. Overnight tonight we will have mainly clear skies with lows close to 70. Friday will have mostly sunny skies with a slight chance of a shower/ thunderstorm and a hot and humid high in the mid-80s. Saturday will have our highest chance of showers and thunderstorms of the next week. Sunshine return for Sunday, but so do highs near 90. This will start off the potential heat wave as highs will have the chance to meet or top 90 through Wednesday next week.
