Another stellar day Wednesday, showers return later Thursday

It’s a stellar night out there. Have you noticed a reddish hue over the moon? That’s due to the same wildfire smoke that caused hazy skies Tuesday evening.

Another fantastic day coming up on Wednesday with sunny and comfortably warm weather. There is a slight chance of an isolated pop-up shower late in the day.

A better chance for a shower or storm comes in Thursday afternoon as a backdoor cold front moves nearby. After that quick downpour, we return to nice weather for Friday.

The weekend looks okay, partly sunny skies Saturday with a few showers possible Sunday – not a washout right now.

There will also be some big surf building as soon-to-be Hurricane Ernesto passes a few hundred miles offshore.
