Another Toasty Tuesday on Tap!

The heat and humidity are at it again! While the coast will remain in the low 80s, Rhode Island and Massachusetts will be sizzling as you head inland. Expect temperatures to be in the upper 80s and even low 90s. But wait– there’s more! With the humidity added in, many areas will feel closer to 95 degrees this afternoon. For that reason, we’re under a Heat Advisory until 8 PM this evening. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water and take breaks in the A/C!

On the bright side, if you’re hoping to avoid any wet weather, looks like we’re in luck. The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of New England in a Marginal Risk (1/5) for severe weather. However, the energy for severe storms looks to be a little farther north and west. While a tricky thunderstorm or two may *try* to slide across the Rhode Island state line later this afternoon and evening, the rough and tumble weather mainly stays along and north of the Mass Pike.

Tomorrow will bring more of that sticky summertime feel. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s, but more clouds will creep in as well. Once again, thunderstorms will mainly stay north of the area, although a quick pop-up can’t be totally ruled out.
