Anti-Semitic stickers found in Cranston, police investigating
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Racist and anti-Semitic stickers were found stuck to traffic signs in Cranston on Sunday.
Police said that the stickers were found at the intersection of Whipple and Franklin Avenue as well as Garfield Street at the intersection of the bike path, across from the Parkade shopping center and have since been removed. The mayor’s office was also on the scene investigating.
Police said that the stickers will be forensically investigated as they are looking to possibly press charged on those responsible for placing them.
Anyone with information as to who put the stickers up should contact Cranston police at 401-942-2211.
