Apponaug business owner is suffering after construction begins

Apponaug restaurant owner, Debra Bouchard, opened up The Ripe Tomato two years ago but now her business is suffering during the construction of the Apponaug circulator project.

The Ripe Tomato’s lunch business is down 60% and Debra is afraid she may have to close down her restaurant.

A $29,000,000 dollar Apponaug Circulator project is under construction with the goal of creating turning the one way post road stretch through Apponaug into a two way making it easier for drivers to navigate.

Part of the construction has shut down roads and created a lot of traffic by the business that has made drivers want to stay away from the area all together.

Debra has even though about selling the place but is worried nobody would want to buy a business located around construction that will be there for however long the length of the project is.
