Archie Miller to be named head coach for URI men’s basketball team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- ABC6 Sports has confirmed that Archie Miller will be the next head coach for the University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team.
Miller will be replacing David Cox who was let go from the university after going 64-55 in four seasons as head coach.
Millers first head coaching job was in the A-10 with the University of Dayton from 2011 to 2017. He then coached at Indiana University from 2017 to 2021.
The university said they will be holding an introductory press conference on Monday.
