Armed robbery at gas station in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that it is investigating an armed robbery occurred on Broadway early Saturday morning.

Police said the incident occurred around 1 a.m. when a man wearing a black jacket, black face mask, black eye glasses, black gloves, and white pants threatened a cashier with a gun for money from the register.

The suspect was believed to then flee on Broadway.

There were no injuries in the incident and it is still under investigation.
