Arrest Made After New Bedford Murder
The Bristol County (MA) District Attorney's office has just announced an arrest in connection with a murder in New Bedford Wednesday night.
Jonathan Niemic, 27, of New Bedford was arrested early Thursday morning in connection with the stabbing death of Fairhaven resident Michael Correia. The DA's Office says Niemic stabbed Correia outside of a church on Purchase Street, just before 8pm Wednesday.
Correia died a short time after, at St. Luke's Hospital.
Niemic was arraigned Thursday morning in New Bedford District Court, and ordered held without bail.
