Arrest made following the death of Connecticut officer Aaron Pelletier

EAST SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WLNE) — The Connecticut State Police have announced that they have arrested a man in connection with the hit-and-run death of a state trooper.

Connecticut State Police Aaron Pelletier was killed yesterday by a passing vehicle while making a traffic stop on I-84 in Southington.

The man accused of evading the scene and hitting him, 44-year-old Alex Oyola-Sanchez, was arrested and charged with numerous violations including manslaughter in the second degree.

He’s being held on $5,000,000 bail.

The Connecticut State Police honored Pelletier today in a procession along I-84.
