Arrest made in Branch Ave. homicide

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) –  The Providence Police Department announced Friday they have made an arrest in a murder that happened two weeks ago on Branch Ave.

Andrew Mangru, 21, was arrested Friday morning for the murder of 23-year-old Andrei Bonilla.

Mangru is awaiting arraignment.

This shooting was one of two that occurred on the morning of August 28, marking the city’s 17th and 18th homicides of the year.
