Arrest made in fatal Plymouth hit-and-run

PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) _ Police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run in Plymouth that killed a 69-year-old woman and her dog.
Timothy Lapierre, 39, was arrested for allegedly killing a woman and her dog with his vehicle and fleeing the scene.
Police say the suspect is likely to be arraigned in Plymouth District Court on Friday. No name was immediately released
Authorities say Marjorie Cochrane and her dog died after they were struck by a vehicle shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday.
Passers-by found her in the road unconscious and bleeding from her head.
She was taken to a local hospital, and then flown to Boston Medical Center, where she died. Her dog also was found lying in the road.
