Update: 2 suspects in East Providence shooting have been identified

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Police arrest two adult males in connection with a shooting that left one victim hospitalized.

The shooting occurred on the intersection of Waterman Avenue and Green Street at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Friday, August 10.

The victim, a 28-year-old male who is not a resident of East Providence, was located at Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the shooting.

The suspects, 20-year-old Destin Holloway and 21-year-old Jermaine Perry, were located in apartments near where the shooting took place, and charged with robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm in a compact area, and conspiracy.

At this time Police describe this as an active investigation.

No further information is available at this time.
