Ashaway firefighters extinguish home fire

HOPKINTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Ashaway Volunteer Fire Association said that it extinguished a fire at a home on Main Street on Nov. 28.

The fire occurred around 6:30 p.m. where flames could be seen coming out of the roof.

Firefighters said that the home’s resident was able to evacuate before first responders arrived.

The fire was out by 9:30 p.m.

There was no word on the cause.
