Assonet celebrates 34th annual Strawberry Festival

ASSONET, Mass. — The 34th annual Strawberry Festival took place in Assonet on Sunday.

The festival was organized by the Tuesday Club of Assonet.

“It is our primary fundraiser for the scholarship program that we have,” said co-president Dorothy Grocott. “We do a lot of social and charitable things within the town.”

Organizers served food like homemade strawberry shortcakes.

Vendors included crafters, live music, and a raffle. Almost 42 vendors took part in the festival.
