AT&T says service restored to all customers after outage

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — AT&T Inc. said that wireless service has been restored to all customers after a widespread outage Thursday.

Spokesperson Karen Twomey said that customers should see their service restored.

“We have restored wireless service to all our affected customers,” Twomey said. “We sincerely apologize to them. Keeping our customers connected remains our top priority, and we are taking steps to ensure our customers do not experience this again in the future.”

The outages, which began at approximately 3:30 a.m. peaked at around 73,000 reported incidents according to the Associated Press.
