Attleboro ambulance collides with vehicle during transport

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — The Attleboro Fire Department said an ambulance was involved in a crash while heading to the hospital on Wednesday.

According to the department, an ambulance was transporting a patient to Sturdy Memorial Hospital when it collided with another vehicle at the intersection of County Street and Thacher Street around 2:52 p.m.

The department said the ambulance had its emergency lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash.

Another ambulance responded to the scene and brought the patient to the hospital.

Officials said the patient did not suffer any additional injuries, and nobody was hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
