Attleboro Police charge woman with trying to smuggle drugs into correctional facility

An investigation into the illegal smuggling of narcotics into Massachusetts state correctional facilities has led to the arrest of a woman in an Attleboro parking lot.
Attleboro Police along with Massachusetts Department of Corrections Office of Investigative Services investigators learned that a female was coming to Attleboro to pick up a package of illegal drugs and smuggle it into one of the state’s correctional facilities.
Investigators spotted her vehicle and, with a search warrant, were able to search the car in the parking lot of the Pleasant St. Stop & Shop.
They found an ice cream container with over 20 sublingual suboxone strips that were prepped for delivery into a correctional facility. It also contained 6 packages of suspected marijuana packaged in a similar fashion.
Police arrested 26-year-old Jazzmine Sanchez of Boston. She’s being charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (suboxone), possession with intent to distribute a Class D substance (marijuana), conspiracy to violate the drug laws, and conspiracy to introduce drugs to a correctional facility.
