An investigation into the illegal smuggling of narcotics into Massachusetts state correctional facilities has led to the arrest of a woman in an Attleboro parking lot.

Attleboro Police along with Massachusetts Department of Corrections Office of Investigative Services investigators learned that a female was coming to Attleboro to pick up a package of illegal drugs and smuggle it into one of the state’s correctional facilities.

Investigators spotted her vehicle and, with a search warrant, were able to search the car in the parking lot of the Pleasant St. Stop & Shop.

They found an ice cream container with over 20 sublingual suboxone strips that were prepped for delivery into a correctional facility. It also contained 6 packages of suspected marijuana packaged in a similar fashion.

Police arrested 26-year-old Jazzmine Sanchez of Boston. She’s being charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (suboxone), possession with intent to distribute a Class D substance (marijuana), conspiracy to violate the drug laws, and conspiracy to introduce drugs to a correctional facility.
