Man charged with creating meth lab due in court

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – An Attleboro man charged creating a meth lab at his home on Knight Avenue Sunday will face a judge Monday morning.

Police initially responded to an overdose there at around 12:40 p.m. when they discovered the lab. A hazmat team was called in to clean up.

Two houses to the left of the home were evacuated as a precaution.

Police say the resident, 52-year-old Robert Acheson, was charged with manufacturing crystal methamphetamine. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning.

Police say the scene was cleared by 6:15 p.m.
