Detectives and police in Attleboro carried out a search warrant which resulted in the total seizure of approximately 225 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine; as well as 8 grams of heroin. This is the largest drug seizure in recent city history.

The search was conducted at 63 Bank Street, apartment 2.

The investigation stemmed from tips received from concerned citizens via the Attleboro Police Department’s MyPD phone app.

Detectives were given information into possible drug activity at a residence on Holcott Street, near Bishop Feehan High School. Detectives knew that the suspect was going to arrive at this Holtcott street address, to make a drug deal.

This suspect, 49 year-old Oscar Perez was then detained, and officials recovered approximately 3 grams of individually packaged bags of “crack” cocaine.

Upon further investigation, detectives also found 14 grams of individually packaged “crack” and powder cocaine, as well as a fake identification card, in a concealed compartment of Perez’s vehicle.

Additionally, detectives found approximately 208 grams of “crack” and powder cocaine, and 8 grams of heroin in Perez’s apartment. Detectives estimate the combined street value of all illegal drugs seized as a result of this operation to be approximately $23,000.

Oscar Perez is being charged on possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, drug violation in a school zone, cocaine trafficking, possession of a false identification, obstruction of justice, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
