An Attleboro woman is arrested on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, after striking a pole early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 12:32 a.m., in the area of 520 Elm Street, Mansfield Public Safety Dispatch received several calls about a single-car motor vehicle crash into a pole.
Officers arrived on scene to find a telephone pole broken in two places and a white 2010 Toyota Corolla severely damaged approximately 200’ away.
Officials say the driver was on the scene outside of the motor vehicle talking on her cell phone.
MFD treated and released the operator on scene.
Mansfield Electric Light Department had the pole replaced and power restored by 6:30 a.m.
After the result of the investigation, Kaylee O’Brien, 25, of 313 Richardson Ave. in Attleboro was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operating a motor vehicle to endanger and a marked lane violation.
O’Brien will be arraigned in Attleboro District Court later today.
