Attorney General Neronha quarantining after COVID-19 exposure

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Attorney General Peter Neronha announced that he is quarantining and working remotely after being exposed to COVID-19.

“On Monday, I traveled to Washington, DC to attend a National Association of Attorneys General conference,” Neronha said in a statement. “I recently learned that while at the conference, I had a significant COVID exposure and am symptomatic. Under the advisement of my doctor, I will be quarantining and working remotely. I expect to return to the office next week.”

Neronha added that Civil Division Chief Miriam Weizenbaum will appear in his place for a hearing on his social media posts Friday morning.
