Auburn’s Matt Gilchrest Holds on to 1 Stroke Lead Heading to Final Round of the Northeast Amateur

Auburn’s Matt Gilchrest lost three strokes with a double-bogey and bogey on 17 and 18, but he held on to a one stroke lead heading to the final round of the Northeast Amateur at Wannamoisett Country Club.   Warwick’s Brad Valois is two under and six shots off the lead.  Three-time defending state high school champ Will Dickson is two over par.
