Back to a winter feel after Saturday soaker
Skies are beginning to cloud up across the area this evening. A few snow showers are passing well north, but we could see a stray flake or two tonight.
Rain will begin early Saturday morning on the lighter and scattered side before picking up throughout the day. Expect drenching conditions during the evening and early nighttime.
A general 2-3 inches of rain is expected. A FLOOD WATCH is in effect all day tomorrow for local road flooding, especially in poor drainage areas.
We will have to keep our eyes on the river levels as well Sunday into Monday for delayed flooding (Pawtuxet/Wood/Pawcatuck.)
Sunday will be dry, with perhaps some veiled sun, but it will also be windy and cold. Gusts up to 35-40 mph and temperatures in the low 40s means it will feel more like the 30s.
Temperatures remain below average through Tuesday with partial sunshine before rain chances return Wednesday through Friday.
