New Bedford — Ryan Baldwin's solo home run in the sixth inning was all the run support Bay Sox starter Justin Thomas needed, as the New Bedford Bay Sox edged the Mystic Schooners, 1-0.

Thomas shut down the Schooners over 7 innings, allowing only five hits and one walk while striking out three. With the win, he improved to 3-1 on the season.

Baldwin, a Fairhaven, Mass. native, was 2-for-4 on the night.

Schooners starter Jesse Lepore limited the Bay Sox to six hits in 6 innings while striking out six.
