Barrington police seeking public’s help identifying suspect in “family member in jail” scam

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) – The Barrington Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect.

Police say the subject in the photo above matches the description of a suspect who was part of a “family member in jail scam.” The scam occurred June 12.

Police say the photo was captured by a cellphone camera near the victim’s home.

Anyone with information on the subject is asked to call Barrington police at (401) 437-3935. An anonymous tip can also be left at (401) 437-3933.
