Beach car permits begin this weekend on Block Island

NEW SHOREHAM, R.I. (WLNE) — Beach car permits will be available at the New Shoreham Police Department on Sunday.

Police said people can complete their applications at the station during hours of operation.

All cars will be inspected to make sure drivers have all the required equipment before a permit is issued.

Cash is not accepted. Checks or money orders can be made out to the Coastal Resources Management Council.
