Beautiful Thursday weather before showers arrive Friday

It was a nice run of cloudless days, but we finally saw a few of them from time to time on Wednesday. However, it was quite pleasant as temperatures  seasonable temperatures.

Thursday will be a few degrees warmer, reaching the mid-40s, with sun and clouds.

A warm front bringing showers will arrive around midnight on Friday, and it could begin as a brief wintry mix especially north and west of Providence in higher elevations. Anything after that will become all rain. This will not be a big rain, with amounts ranging from a tenth to a quarter of an inch.

Colder air comes back in Friday night, but skies will begin to clear out heading into the weekend. Highs Saturday will be down in the 30s, but should be better by Sunday.

Looking ahead to next week, temperatures Monday through Wednesday are likely to be in the 50s, with showers possible later Tuesday into Wednesday.
