Belichick appears on Good Morning America to promote new book

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The new head football coach of the University of North Carolina, Bill Belichick promoted his new book on Good Morning America Friday.

Belichick wrote “The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football,” following his decades-long NFL coaching career that included six Super Bowl wins as head coach with the New England Patriots.

Belichick’s father coached at UNC in the 1950s, and Belichick said he’s enjoying the change from coaching in the NFL to coaching a college team.

“They’ve been very enthusiastic and we’ve made a lot of progress,” said Belichick.

“For me it’s all about learning. You know, I learn every day and I’ve learned so much being back in the college environment with whether it be recruiting, the college game, the rules, the hash marks, some strategy and just putting a team together.”

About his book, Belichick said its not not about how to live your life, it’s more about how Belichick did his job.
