Bellingham pedestrian crash victim dies from injuries

BELLINGHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The victim in a Tuesday night Bellingham car crash has died from his injuries, according to the Bellingham Police Department.

Craig Spencer, 57, of Bellingham was pronounced deceased at a local hospital after being airlifted to its trauma center Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at 9:42 p.m. on North Main Street when a 21-year-old female driver from Bellingham struck Spencer as he attempted to cross the road and stepped into oncoming traffic.

The driver’s speed was not deemed excessive and there is no indication she was under the influence of alcohol, according to the initial investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing by members of the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team and Bellingham police.
