Berkley Police arrest man in connection to stolen vehicle

BERKLEY, Mass. (WLNE) — The Berkley Police Department said a man was arrested after he stole a vehicle on April 27 .

Around 4 a.m., officers were sent to the Racing Mart gas station on Padelford Street for reports of a suspicious vehicle.

At the scene, officers discovered a man sleeping inside the vehicle, which police said was “severely damaged.”

Police were able to identify the man, who was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

During the investigation, police discovered the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the morning during a domestic incident.

The man was charged with carjacking and domestic assault and battery.

The suspect’s identity has not been released at this time.
