PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — After a six-month closure, a stretch of Beverage Hill Avenue in Pawtucket will reopen Friday, December 22.

A section of the street from Prospect Street to Notre Dame Avenue had been closed since June 19, 2023 to connect the Prospect Heights Housing Community to the Beverage Hill sewer main.

Traffic had been redirected through Prospect Street and Fred Street during the closure.

“We are thrilled to re-open Beverage Hill Avenue after its closure for the last six months,” said Pawtucket Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “Beverage Hill is a central access point in the City of Pawtucket. We are relieved that the vital sewer work has been completed, and that travel can resume.”
