Bicyclist killed, driver arrested for suspected DUI in North Kingstown crash

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The North Kingstown Police Department said a bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle Thursday evening.

The crash occurred on Boston Neck Road, which police closed for a time to investigate.

The driver was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.

ABC 6 News crews saw traffic moving slowly through the area that was closed, as well as a damaged bike.

The incident is still under investigation.
