Biden visits New England Tuesday

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — President Joe Biden will visit New England today.

Biden has already landed in New Hampshire per reports, and will visit Merrimack before making his way to Nashua.

During his visit, Biden will announce a major milestone in the implementation of the PACT Act – the Dept. of Veterans Affairs will reach 1 million claims granted since the bipartisan legislation was signed into law in 2022.

He will then join Veterans and their families at the Westwood Park YMCA in Nashua to discuss the impact of the law, which expanded health care to millions who were exposed to toxic burn pits and other hazards on military bases in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Biden’s final stop will be in Boston for a campaign event.

Areas around Logan Airport. Back Bay, and Seaport will be closed.

Boston police have warned that Pro-Palestinian protesters may also be active in that area.
