Big improvements coming to Oakland Beach in Warwick
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Mayor Solomon of Warwick announced that big improvements are coming to Oakland Beach.
Upgrades to the beach include a new handicap accessible boardwalk, a splash park, updates to the playground, and to pedestrian walkways.
The upgrades will cost $600 thousand dollars.
Mayor Solomon said, “The area that we’re looking at behind me, with this beautiful coast line… Will be transformed into a fun space, that residents and people of all ages and abilities can enjoy.”
The project is expected to be complete by September of 2021.
