Bill would require allergen notices on restaurant menus
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A new bill in the Rhode Island State House would require food establishments to either include warnings on their menu about food allergens, or face a civil fine penalty.
Another bill would require restaurants to offer children’s menus with at least two meals that meet certain nutritional standards.
On the House of Representatives side, one bill would establish a second avenue of qualification, an apprenticeship program, in order for someone to become a licensed optician.
Another bill would update the notice requirements for mammograms to follow the FDA’s national reporting standards.
