Emmy-nominated meteorologist Kristina Shalhoup is happy to be home!
Kristina’s “learn-by-doing” approach to meteorology has taken her all over the country. From dust storms and wildfires in Washington State, to blizzards and flooding in Pennsylvania, to tornado outbreaks in Tennessee: Kristina has been through and forecasted it all. She most recently brought her country-wide weather knowledge and passion for broadcasting to the national stage as a senior broadcast meteorologist and host for the AccuWeather Network. There, she covered local, regional, national, and even global weather phenomena daily… But her favorite region to cover was always New England because, simply put, there’s no place like home. Having grown up in Easton, MA, and having spent a lot of her free time in Little Rhody, Kristina is “wicked excited” to bring you the forecast every day.
When she’s not on the green screen, you’ll most likely find Kristina trying to hit the green. Kristina was a competitive golfer at the collegiate level– a three-year captain for NYU, where she completed her B.S. in Media & Communications with a minor in Entertainment Business, prior to completing her meteorology certificate with Mississippi State University.
Kristina also loves to hike and ski, and never needs an excuse to be outdoors. She and her husband and two dogs (certified good boys, Bogey and Grizzly) also enjoy adventuring around New England and beyond.
