Ryan Medeiros was officially promoted to Weekend News Anchor/Reporter at ABC6 in April 2025.
Ryan joined ABC6 in December 2023 as a digital content producer, overseeing the production of weekend newscasts, writing for the station website and volunteering to fill in on-air as needed. In July 2024, Ryan moved into a full-time on-air role as a news reporter.
Ryan previously interned with the ABC6 Sports department in 2022 before graduating from Ithaca College in 2023. He earned Summa Cum Laude honors and was a recipient of Ithaca’s Sports Media Excellence Award.
Outside of work, Ryan is an avid distance runner, competing in road races whenever he gets the chance. A collegiate competitor in cross country and track & field, he was proud to represent the station in the inaugural Rhode Island Half Marathon in May 2024.
A native of Bristol County, Ryan has extensive family ties to Southern New England, with both of his parents growing up on Aquidneck Island. He is elated to have his first professional opportunity be in the place he calls home.
