Bitter cold expected for Monday

As the last of the snow flurries end this evening temperatures will begin to fall and winds will increase. Winds will gust to 25-30MPH throughout tonight and Monday creating wind chills into Monday morning making feel like it is down near zero! As we move into the afternoon Monday highs will only climb into the mid and upper 20s, but the wind will continue to make it feel like the teens amid a mix of sun and clouds.

A weak disturbance will move through Monday evening bring the threat for a light snow shower or flurry that could create some spotty dustings on the ground. Tuesday through Thursday will feature a good deal of sunshine. Tuesday starts a bit of a warming trend with highs in the low 30s, Wednesday climbs to the low 40s and then both Thursday and Friday will be in the upper 40s to near 50°! However, Friday will bring rain for the entire region as a storm tracks to our Northwest.
