Bitter cold Veterans Day for Southern New England
It’s a cold start to the day… and the end doesn’t look too different! We’re waking up to temperatures in the 30s, but with the wind it feels like the 20s! While those numbers may not seem too dramatic for this time of year, the bigger issue is that temperatures hardly climb this afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 30s/low 40s, feeling like the 20s/30s with the gusty winds. We may even see a flurry or two thanks to a strong northwesterly wind some lake effect snow coming off the Great Lakes. Snow showers will reach Western Massachusetts and Connecticut, while a flurry may just make it far enough to show us an early-season snowflake.
Overnight it’ll still be windy, but slightly less so. Lows will be in the low/mid 30s and we’ll have some clouds around.
Tomorrow will bring a mix of clouds and some sun, though thanks to a quick-moving storm, a shower is possible too. Any rain will be short-lived. Highs will be in the mid 40s.
Thursday will be slightly sunnier with highs in the mid to upper 40s, while Friday will be mostly sunny and and back in the mid 40s.
Stay warm!
