Black ice dangers

Despite the warmer temperatures, black ice was a big issue for many across southern New England Monday morning.

One local woman found out the hard way.

Judith Donnelly was heading down Goulart Memorial Drive in Fairhaven when she hit a patch of black ice, sending her minivan down a ditch, flipping it over several times and trapping her inside.

Luckily Donnelly, only suffered some minor bumps and bruises. Fairhaven fire fighters tell ABC 6 News they responded to several other accidents Monday because of the black ice.
